    I don't have a child, cat or dog. I find myself taking lots of pictures of my lenses.

    This is a really lovely photo. The green blanket, the cyan in the toy, the texture of the blanket and of the child's blue shirt. Nice sense of depth from the out of focus toy in the foreground. Simple and appealing natural light with some highlights in the face.

    Oh yeah, cute kid too!

    Charming image and very good use of a much maligned lens. I don't have children or animals, but think you have captured some of the joy that photography can bring and that, for me, is mostly what it should be about.

    I'm sorry but you're going to have to remove that photo. A shot that nice, clean and sharp using that lens is, apparently, not possible. You should have used the 20mm. Taking shots like this on the 17mm is just likely to confuse people, create debate and possible pixel peeping.

    By the way. Nice shot and beautiful kid. But I'd spend a minute in photoshop and remove the grey strip growing out of the head.
