We spent three(!) days on Helgoland which is the only German high-sea island. Here, a huge variety of migrant birds can be found. It is unbelievable how many great impressions we made in such short time and we want to share them. Please enjoy watching ... {} (female chaffinch) {} (grey wagtail) {} (sanderling) {} (grey seal) Best regards, Alex
Nice pictures! I've been thinking about visiting Helgoland for a while now. Should really just go ahead and do it.
I sort of knew that Helgoland was on my bucket list, but now I'm sure. I guess my bucket list for the German coast has Helgoland, Rügen (mainly for the WWII ruins at Prora) and the Oder delta. Is anything missing from the list?
I think many places are left but if you are in the field of birding I think it's an unique place for Germany. Best regards, Alex

Prima! Ausgezeichnet! I don't get to use German much here but hopefully spelled right (grew up in Germany quite a while back but never visited Helgoland). We have similar animals here on the central coast of California but I'm not as familiar with birds as you clearly are. Well taken photos and thanks for sharing. I've not posted photos here but lately the number of great shots, including your set, posted on the site may inspire me to do so. Markus
Awesome photos. I really like clicking through and viewing them on your website with that cool loupe magnifying tool you have there. Thanks for sharing
Hi, Great pictures. I am planning to go in december to Helgoland, mainly for the seals, for 2 days/1 night. How close can you get to them? What lens will u suggest to take? My longest is the 75mm. I guess that will not be enough? Thanks in advance!
