Hi everyone, I have to admit I've been very lazy since my Summer break started a month ago, although I've been taking a lot of photos I've not been doing many uploads.I've been thinking "Whats the point of taking photos if you don't share them for people to enjoy?" So today i've decided enough is enough and I've got to upload and share some photos. So here's my first set of uploads, this is my lovely little nephew Sammy, he's 2years old, I love spending time with him and seeing his silly smile!<br> <br> I'll let the photos tell you a bit about him

    All taken with the Panny 20mm f1.7 on my G1 set to "nature" film mode so they're all .jpegs out of camera - I love the colours the 20mm gives<br> <br> My nephew loves to play and have fun... <br><br>#1 Getting his toys out...<br> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4788139874/" title="P1050212 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050212" height="375" width="500"></a><br><br>#2 S is for Star<br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4788130912/" title="P1050201 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050201" height="375" width="500"></a><br> <br> My nephew loves to smile and laugh:<br> <br> #3<br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4814021514/" title="P1050254 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050254" height="500" width="375"></a><br>#4<br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4787504547/" title="P1050209 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050209" height="500" width="375"></a><br><br> (The green thing is a green rubberband with a watch built in to it)<br> <br> #5&nbsp; <br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4788133792/" title="P1050205 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050205" height="375" width="500"></a><br><br> #6<br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4788132218/" title="P1050203 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050203" height="500" width="375"></a><br><br>#7<br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4787500617/" title="P1050204 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050204" height="500" width="375"></a><br> <br> My nephew loves being silly:<br> <br>#8<br> <a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4814018978/" title="P1050252 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050252" height="500" width="375"></a><br><br>#9<br><a href="http://www.flickr.com/photos/48075884@N02/4813408347/" title="P1050261 by vincechu89, on Flickr">[IMG]"P1050261" height="375" width="500"></a><br><br>#10 A little laundry basket he put over his head, to hide in. Hi Vince, what a wonderful little character... and a great series, thanks for sharing! :2thumbs:

Strange you have the 14-140 but no GH1? it would be nice for the future to have some video of the little guy!

    Cheers

Vince, your nephew Sammy is really cute and clearly a character already! I love that #3 especially - really nice color, too!

Children live in the moment completely!:2thumbs:

You two are very lucky to have each other.

What is the lego camera that he is holding? Is it actually functional or is it just a skin or something like that?

Some nice images, but way too much of the same subject for a person not who does not know the little kid. If you select just few of your favorites, it would be easier to give C&C.

    :)

Thanks for the comments everyone :)

Brian, I originally got the G1 as a birthday/Christmas present to see how serious I was about photography. Then later bought the 14-140mm from Monza (Robert) off Getdpi as I thought the range would be very useful and didnt get a GH1 as I thought I wouldn't need video too much, although now waiting to see what comes out in September and would consider the GH2.

BBW thanks, he is such a little character, he's loved by everyone in the family - which is why they're often asking me to take photos like these of him :)

Krang: The camera is actually functional you can find it here: Amazon.com: LEGO 3MP Digital Camera: Toys & Games

although i have to admit its a bit pricey, its really tough and the kids love it. I guess you're right for the C & C but I guess this set is more for enjoyment and fun than more serious stuff - so i guess I shd leave the C & C for other sets that i'll upload soon :)

Vince, personally, I don't think you posted too many shots - at this size it's very easy to scroll through them quickly to get a sense of his character and the fun he's having :2thumbs:

Also, I'd be on the lookout for an end of line GH1 right now - with the firmware hack available it's superb value for money. I guess the GH2 will have a touch LCD - but be restricted compared to the GH1 + hack in terms of compression quality and other limiting factors (battery locked to Panasonic, length of recording time limited)... although, if the heavens are kind - the hack will migrate to the GH2 too.

    Cheers

Thanks Fiddler :) He is a great little guy, so lively and full of fun and energy. The Karare kid shot is probably my favourite photo that I've taken so far since startin photography last Nov :)

He is a wonderful little character - same age as my youngest grandson and yes they take delight in the smallest things. Not too many pics for my taste.

Another vote for the GH1 and hack.

I like #11. Pentax actually makes a camera that let users put small lego pieces on just like that.
