No, not at this trip... I traveled without an adapter. I used the Snapshot Skopar before but at the moment there there are no pictures on my desk - so maybe I will take some new ones tomorrow.

Oh no! The plastic lens makes it all look like an episode of Father Ted! (I apologise as this reference might be quite obscure to most...).

Red - thanks for sharing. I like the photos above in particular. The overcast sky gives a nice soft light and has a great effect on the colors, especially the blues on the clothes of the boys. Interesting how the red-circle on the parking sign almost serves as the letter O in O'Connor. Well-timed.

I am glad you included photos with your Bessa- great camera with fantastic lenses. What film did you use? Looks almost like slide film. My favorites are the window sills and the Guinness ad. Simple and very well composed, good color contrast particularly with the Guinness poster and wall. Well done. If you don't mind my saying the photo of the buildings and the boats in the harbor could use tighter and simpler compositions, it's not clear what the main subject is meant to be. Beach shot is okay, well exposed, but compositionally could have used a key point of interest--perhaps in the foreground? Would help to break the monotony of the background.

Regardless, I am inspired to shoot color film again soon.

Thank you for this feedback - I was adjusting the parking sign over the hanging O ... three boys entered the scene ... and this nice picture was finished. A lucky accident ...

Thank you for your detailed feedback!
I used a Fuji Superia ISO 200. The low cost prints are from a supermarket - then scanned from the prints, no color correction.
I agree with your comments about the composition in the harbour. I'm always a bit overstrained with boat / harbour sceneries... It's difficult to isolate a main subject. For beach pictures I like to compose them in a boring art.

I've only been there once, but Birr (and its huge telescope) and Clonmacnoise were quite familiar & cool. Thanks for sharing these, look forward to more!

Thanks for sharing your photos, I have enjoyed them all. They are not just the average travel photos we so often see, but your personal vision of the places you visited.
I really need to take a leaf out of your book on my next trip.
