So after three years with 4/3s I finally took the plunge last week and got the Olympus E-P2 with the 14-42mm kit lens. So far I'm still discovering the nuances of the camera and getting used to using a smaller camera.

I'm really looking forward to becoming a part of this community and look forward to not just absorbing all the tips, tricks & suggestions, but becoming an active contributor as well!

Cheers!

Raj, welcome and congratulations on your new E-P2! Thanks so much for taking the time to introduce yourself - it's a great way to start out.

There are some great threads in the Olympus forum - and Brian Mosely's done some very handy videos as well.

I hope you'll jump right into discussions that interest you and look forward to seeing a few of your photos, too.

Hi and welcome, Raj!

Did you also get the EVF for your E-P2? I have found mine to be surprisingly good, and tend to leave it on the camera most of the time.

Yes, I did get the VF-2 as well, I really like it a lot so far, the 100% coverage and magnification make using it very easy and i prefer using it to the LCD as it gives me more stability in using the camera. So far the only weakness I've found is its limited DR, where shadows may seem a little plugged at times, but it's a very minor issue.

:smile:welcome to you !

cheers from nyc
I live in NYC too, we should definitely meet up!
