I've been using a Nikon D80 for a while now, but was tempted by the GX1.
Seems that it could do all the things I needed a camera to do, in a smaller packet.

Took some time getting used to the smaller camera. Buttons and switches are not where I'm used to, and I keep pressing stuff I did not intend to.

But that hasn't stopped me. The camera is so fun to play around with.
It's fast, accurate, and easy to understand.

These are some of my first pictures with the GX1.
OS X doesn't support the raw-format from this camera, so I had to use Lightroom which I'm not familiar with. I'm more used to Aperture.
So I haven't done much editing.

Anyway, I really enjoy the camera and it seems to fit my needs.

Nice shots! Looks like you have a tri-color/blue merle mix collie! Don't know if I've ever seen one of those befor (in addition to your other tri). I had two tri-color collies growing up. :)

Sorry, should have mentioned that I'm using the Panasonic Leica Summilux DG 25/1,4 lens.

Jman - Just love Collies. They are so intelligent and easy to train.

Great shots. Love the first one of the dog with its eyes closed.

The GX1 is a great little camera. I wasn't sure at first, but now I'm loving it. Still wish it were about 1/2 taller to accommodate a built-in viewfinder, but the LVF2 is pretty nice.

    Hi Lars,

My brother uses a D80. He is thinking of switching to M43. How would you compare the IQ/usability of the two? What kinds of lenses are you using for your D80? What kind of kit are you planning for your GX1?
