Menu driven, but only with the proper firmware update.


Seriously, though, the grip does make a huge difference in handling with larger lenses. I added some of a leather skin to the grip area, which helps with control in P&S form, but it doesn't compare with the positive control offered by the extension.

Short answer: I put "GF1 grip" into an Ebay saved search with email notification and was incredibly lucky, as it popped up three days later. It hasn't popped up since.

Long answer: It's sold in Japan, along with a version for the Pens, so you have to find a friend over there to buy and ship you one:

Email them. I was able to order direct from them. They have someone that speaks simple english. They accept paypal and were very good with the speed of communication emails. Shipped the same day I paid as well.
