My Black cat sitting in the window

    Way up there.
    I took this picture a while ago and wanted to share it. I made to crops becuase i am unsure which one looks better.

    Bottom one, has needed context for where the cat is sitting. I'd probably crop out the left, however. The light is distracting from the subject.

    Here's "blackie" Sebastian by the way, sitting on a ledge at night. He's a funny, affectionate, naughty little guy:

    I prefer the bottom one and agree with CarlB to crop out some of the left. I love black cats ... and have one currently. :smile:

    thank you for the advice. That cat is very hard to take photos of becuase he is very active and it is hard to focus on his black colour. The picture of your cat is good. Thanks

    Objects with a great deal of black or white make auto focus difficult. You might try using an AF + manual setting. It allows you to refine the focus after the autofocus sets.
