Every year, I go to the Indy 500 with my uncle, cousin, and a family friend. This year, we had pre-race pit passes, so I decided to take along both of my G6's, with a 12-35 and 100-300. I brought my NEX-6 last year, but wanted a camera with a bit more reach from our seats. The 100-300 definitely provided the extra reach, and the 12-35 was perfect for walking the grid. CC is always welcome, but I was VERY please with the images from my cameras.

I love the 500 and have watched every year since at least age 5 (44 years ago). I've only been able to attend in person 3 times, but each was awesome.

Good shots... The third is definitely my favorite. The details in the wheel and tire are perfect. And I'm sure the battle at the end didn't disappoint you!

I've been going for something like 12 years or more in a row, and it never gets old. The race wasn't as exciting as last year's race, though I was much happier with the outcome from this year (I like TK, but I've worked on various race teams with RHR and he is just an honest, down to earth guy. I couldn't be happier for he and his wife Beccy).

It was a stitch of a 5 shot panorama, so that may have something to do with it? It was done in Microsoft ICE, which I'm quite happy with.

Why does the first photo look like a fisheye? My 12-40 wouldn't do this, unless the Indy 500 arena really looks like this. I was there, but it was around 50 years ago, so I don't remember too well.
