This last one was brought into the house by one of my kids who promptly left it laying around. I found it the next day and decided to take it to the studio.

Are you that last one hasn't got some legs hidden under there.
I reckon it walked into your house by itself. ;)
? I'm sure since it is still on the shelf in my office. I'm sure it had some help, just not sure which pair of legs provided the transportation.

In ten years, never seen one.
Then in a month, find half a dozen...

Mate, do you have a daytime pic of the mushroom that emits the faint glow? What was that exposure?
They’re so cool!

They’re so cool!

ISO 1600, f/4.0, 1min 30sec exposure
Depending on the age of the fungi, exposure can be anywhere from 2~5mins. Their glow diminishes as they age, these were reasonably fresh.

Not a image of these ones, here is one from a couple of years back

Those are common mushrooms here.
I didn’t realise just how faint that glow is... thanks for that.
Since moving to the far north of nz, I have seen all manner of new mushrooms. I’ll be on the lookout now! Cheers ?

Very cool Richard!
Have you tried firing the flash on it’s weakest setting?
I haven been out at night yet, too tired what with mowing the lawns and all that, but hope to soon. Hope I don’t fall over a bank or worse! I have a new 30mm to play with.

Flash would wipe out the glow, even the light from a partial moon causes issues. The darker the better is what I have found.

Congratulations on your new lens, always nice to have something new to play with!
