Hahaha... I agree. Because I suddenly got interested in fungi, I bought the Mushrooms of Hawaii book, co-authored by retired UH Hilo professor Don Hemmes and fungi expert Dennis Desjardin. Actually, to get those white mushrooms identified, I had to contact Hemmes, because they weren't in the book. Hemmes graciously responded and it turns out he is good friends of my parents, going to the same church in Hilo. I thought he looked familiar.Only a crazy person would eat unidentified mushrooms.
