Focus stacked, Charlie. ?
Yes, it’s too simple not to. I think, the results are much better than a single pic, if you don’t pixel peep the haloing artefacts.
I focused on the closest part of the mushroom, and with a focus differential of 1, and 25 pics selected at f4.
Later on, in the computer, I only needed to use about a dozen or so pics to do the job.

What Is Real Anyway?
I believe these are fungus, I don’t know what else they would be. They were right next to each other, and they looked like a very large blister that had popped. The larger one is about 2” in diameter. The smaller was less round and maybe 1.75” long. The larger one was dried out, while the smaller one felt like cold flesh.

Very beautiful, but what are they, please?
Thanks relic. These are TurkeyTails (Trametes Versicolor - I looked them up!). That was right after a wet period. Most of the ones I've seen are brown or dull blue/grey and I walked past there the other day and they were now nearly black (or very dull dark blue I guess).
