The last of my Tasmanian adventures before heading to Europe for four months  This one was to Mt Murchison - the highest and most northerly point of the West Coast Range. The massif's most distinct feature is a massive, glaciated bowl surrounded by some pretty impressive cliffs.

    Shot on a GH2, Lumix 7-14mm, Nokton 25mm with a B+W C-Pol filter and an m.ZD 45mm

    Hi Nick,

Beautiful set of photos. I just love Tasmania and the fantastic photographic opportunities that are available there.

I am longing for the time that I can get back there. Well Done:2thumbs:

Great set Nick....love the 3rd shot.
I'm sure you'll find some amazing terrain to climb in Europe....afterall, it's the home of the Alps. I spent o4-05 in Europe backpacking about and even though I didn't climb the Alps, I spent time in the towns and villages below in the valleys, gorgeous. You ate in for a photographic adventure big time. I spent heaps of time in te Dinaric Alps though.

I've got walks lined up in the Pyrenees, Alps, Dolomites, northern Finland and a bit of the Camino de Santiago, so hopefully I should get a couple of pics

There is a difference of course. Not really.

They are some really great images Nick & not the sort of locations for the faint hearted. I'm not young & fit anymore, but when I was (young), that sort of terrain was probably beyond my point of adventure. Walking to Mt Kosciuszko (from Mt Crackenback) was more my style (I don't even venture far in the Blue Mountains now).

Really beautiful country. I love the rainbow shot and those with the clouds/mist. Looks like a real workout but well worth he effort. :2thumbs:

I wouldn't call it a peak, just a rounded hill at the top of the Snowy Mountains range.
