Today at Thruxton BSB

Some great shots from Thruxton, Rob . Looks like you had some reasonable weather too . Hope it felt good to see the BSB again and not too strange with a large(r) crowd.

Unfortunately whilst at Thruxton circuit yesterday I received news that my stepson #36 #361 Ryan Whitehall had crashed at very high speed from 2nd place in a race at the Armoy Road Races in Northern Ireland having started from pole position
He sustained serious leg and ankle injuries and awaits an initial operation in a hospital in N.I.
As many here who follow this thread will know Ryan was the subject of many of my photos

Hopefully, he's strong enough and young enough to make a full recovery.

Well, Persistence is paying off.
I was getting the photos but I am finally getting the development right.
the first 4 are from Sunday - a very wet day (80km+ gusts, rained lots, hailed on twice. In Perth! (not Scotland ;P ) the Supra was from a club event 3 weeks ago, and the Porsche from an event near the start of this year.

Some nice shots, Jonathan . I especially like the rear shots of the BMW and Porsche which I would imagine also captured the weather for the day!

Some of the weather. It was colder but not as wet (consistently) as an event back at the start of November 2020. That day busted the weather sealing on a camera. :E
The BMW is a Holden Commodore.

On Saturday I went to Oulton Park to watch practice and qualifying for my first outing to the BTCC in over two years. I took my 14-140 mainly to go round the paddock at lunchtime but the forecast changed from dry and cloudy to wet and cloudy, so its weather sealing got more use than I'd intended. This was the first time I'd bothered photographing in drizzle and rain but thankfully the weather sealing worked and the odd tree came in handy when there was a downpour . A selection of BTCC cars.

Thank you for the nice comments. The images are all from public access - Oulton Park is an "old school" track with plenty of places to get near to the track without fencing or needing an ultra long telephoto.

Ive never been to Oulton but must make the effort for BSB next year if I can ?
