Cheers.
I was using both the G3 and the G85 and like all events, some were hits, some were misses.. some were completely wild swings!

But I do put it down to technique and repetition... there were some shots that I thought "yes". but on closer inspection .. noooooO! etc.

I hope to keep using it for sometime... unless someone gets me an EM5 V3 or EM1X ;)(but then I have to learn Olympus menus.. sigh)

I suspect that a G9 would be almost liberating. Allow the rear-LCD panel to be used but disable touch-screen (my nose keeps moving the cursor grrr) and use the joy-stick controller.

I would not rely on a significant improvement of CAF with G9, if I were you :-(
I like this camera but unfortunately the Predictive AF , especially for smaller subjects and busy background is worse than EM1-2 (ox EM1x).

I spotted this guy at Croft recently. I have personally been looking for something similar and he got it on eBay. Probably the most useful accesory you can buy for motorsport, you can even sit on it.

I have a similar one as well as several shorter models. Mine came from Home bargains :)
I had a shorter one aswell, from Home Depot.

I bought it for the Daytona 24 hour race. It was a bit too short, I thought it'd be enough being 6'3". It was doable but not comfortable. The one posted above have been great, or even a small fold out 2 step ladder but those get pretty heavy.

It didnt last me the whole race though, lol. I stayed up for all 24 hours, and somehow managed to forget it way up at the top of the grandstands at like 3am. I walked miles away from it before I realized I forgot it, and didnt feel like going back for it.
