Motor Cycle thread - just what all you Ladies have been waiting for

For years a passionate pastime of mine has been BMW “Airhead” Bikes. I just love them and over time have built up a small collection. I love to ride them, take them to bits and clean them. Apart from Bikes my garage and loft are full of spares. Now that I have retired I have been gradually selling them. Each day when they go it is a sad time for me.

Today it was the turn of a 1973 R60/5 ………. In great condition and sold to a film producer, (commercials and similar), from “The City” as they like to call it – but it’s really just London to me.

The image is not a “work of art” – but the Bike certainly is

Hopefully some of you guys will post photos of their Bikes

Yeah.. yeah.. its only a scooter. But its fun to ride anyway! 2006 I bought used with 1400 mi. I am having the exhaust powder coated black this week.

49cc de-restricted, top speed 52mph (83.6 kph)... not bad for a 49cc motor.

Sadly not mine :frown:, but here is a closeup of the engine from a classic Harley at Silverstone race circuit, July 2009

Boris those "rice burners" are just too slow for me - and my Wellington boots, (not sure what you guys call them), would get stuck near the fairing

The nearest I have is a K1 - but that will soon go - leaving me with a R90S and a few others

Cheers

Bill, only one is a rice burner... The other is clearly a pasta rocket ;) LOL
I stand corrected - a grave and serious error - I need shooting!

But something sad has happened to me - now that I have sold a couple of BMs, I'm thinking about an old Harley if I could get one at a reasonable price

Power limit of motorcycles

Here in The Netherlands we don't have a power limit for motorcycles.
I Germany they have (98 HP), as well as in France (100 HP).
Does your home country have a power limit ?

Comments are welcome, thanks in advance.

I'm not aware of any HP limit in Canada, we have the R1 which is 180hp, and the zx14 which is 203 hp. Even my little 600cc is 130hp.

What we have though is speed limiters, we're limited to 300km/h unless we swap chip-limiters.
