One great thing about Lightroom is being able to sort images by various types of metadata including lens used.

From my m4/3 photos, it seems my most used lens is the Olympus 14-42/3.5-5.6 II R a.k.a. the E-PM1 kit lens. A bit embarrassing considering the other lenses I have (and how much they cost), but I suppose it should help reduce 'gear acquisition syndrome'!

So, what's your most heavily used lens?

My 14mm for all day shots of cars, ghost towns, abandoned houses...

My 20mm for nightime shots in complete darkness......

    Surprisingly, it's the Olympus 9-18mm.

I borrowed one to try for a couple of weeks before buying, so I knew I was going to like it. I just didn't know that I would like it this much!

Previously, my usual kit was 20/1.7, 14-45 kit zoom and 45/1.8. I also have a 45-200mm zoom but that almost always gets left behind. Now my kit comprises 9-18mm, 20/1.7, 45/1.8. The kit zoom, good though it is, has given way to the ultra wide angle zoom.

I mostly shoot architectural and street with my m4/3 gear, so I suppose that's why I use the 9-18mm most. I love its compact handling, the sharp results and the near lack of rectilinear distortion.

Without a doubt its the 14mm... More than half, (80% guesstimate) of my images are shot with it.

Not too close a second is a 50 legacy... But in a short time will be overlapped by the sigma 30 and sigma 19

Looking at EXIFs, 20mm is the most used because I had it longer than my 25.

25mm for sure...I don't even have to look. I don't even know why I bothered buying any other lenses.

I was surprised how much I use legacy glass

PL25 turns out to be my favourite, but I'm pretty sure the 17mm will be a close second when I get it.

Currently it's the PL25 without a doubt as that's the default lens on my camera. Over time the leader board has changed constantly. I have a lot of shots with the 14-45, 45-200 and 20 from my G1 days, 14-140 and 20 from my early GH2 days, and now the 14, PL25 and PL45 are shooting up the leader board since that's all I generally carry now. The 100-300 has a pretty good showing in my counts too for a lens with a pretty specific use case.
  11. Since I got it two months ago, it would be the 25mm. It would have been the 20mm before then, but I don't think I'll use that lens very much on the E-M5 (too much of a mismatch in speed). Otherwise the 9-18mm and 14-140mm would be almost even for second. An interesting thing that I found when checking the numbers is that out of 681 images I've uploaded to my flickr account this year, only two were shot at a focal length over 100mm.

For me it's a nearly evenly split between the 20/1.7 on the one hand and my changing lineup of legacy 40-50mm lenses on the other.

Mine is also the 14-42 II, but if I sort only using the last couple of months since I've bought the Oly 12, the little prime dominates. I wonder if that trend will hold or if, once the newness wears off, I'll go back to the versatility of the zoom...

That was kind of an eye-opener. For me, in order of use:

    Panny 14-45mm
    Oly 9-18mm
    Panny 20mm
    Panny 14mm

Though I'm SURE the percentage of 'keepers' and 'favorites' is much, much higher for the 14mm than any other lens.

The Olympus 12. If the 14mm had the same manual focus ring, it would be number 1, but it doesn't so the 12 is the one. It's on the camera when it comes out of the bag and when it goes back in the bag and the VAST majority of the time when its out of the bag. I occasionally switch to the 9-18 or 14-150 or even the kit 12-50. In certain circumstances I'll shoot with the 45mm. But my default is wide angle and somewhere in that 24-28mm field of view is my sweet spot, so the 12 lives there. Before I got the X-Pro I'd also use the 14 and 25 from time to time, but now I just pull out the X-Pro when I want to shoot with one of those - I sold the 25 and would probably sell the 14mm if it had any resale value.

then after that it's all the whacky legacy lenses. It's not GAS, it's just a stomach ache...

My Lightroom counts, limited to native MFT lenses:

    1. Panny 14-45: 1297
    2. Panny 45-200 + 45-175: 726 (taken together because they have the same use)
    3. Panny 20/1.7: 692
    4. Panny 7-14: 359
    5. Panny 14-140: 190

I'm most surprised by the number for the Panny 20/1.7, I didn't think I used it all that much. The 14-140 will be up for sale in the near future, it sits in a bag all the time. Legacy lens counts are not reliable because I only habitually edit EXIF data for test shots. I use the Minolta MD Macro 100/4 a lot, as well as the MD Zoom 75-150/4.

Almost two years since acquiring it, my 20 by far.
    Secong would be my 12.
After looking at the posts here, gassing for the 25 again.
