The sun was just getting through the trees and creating some nice backlight on the frosty, dead leaves of a cut-leaf maple, so I grabbed my camera and started shooting. The maple leaf shots were so-so, but I liked this shot of dead leaves on the ground better. The Takumar f1.4/50, usually stopped down to 2.0, is wonderful for this type of shooting. I just wish I had kept my extender rings. A #1 ring would let me get a couple of inches closer.
