    Hey everyone,

Had some time to kill this morning and was curious about how this would turn out. The first comparison is between the Olympus 75f1.8 and the Rokinon 85f1.4 both shot wide open on my em-5. Again, these "tests" that I'm doing are in no way conclusive and basically just to see what happens. I love the 75 so that's what I'm rooting for, but we'll see ;)

I think it's easy to see that wide open the 75 stomps the 85 even at this low resolution. However, the 85 was at f1.4 and the 75 was at f1.8 and I was curious about what would happen if I stopped the Rokinon down. Unfortunately the Rokinon goes from f1.4 straight to f2 so it still isn't equivalent aperture.

    And here's a 100% comparison of the focused area starting with the 85 at f1.4, 75 atf1.8, and 85 at f2

So after the first scene I decided to shoot each lens wide open and then at f2 so they would be somewhat comparable.

For the next shots the order is 85f1.4, 85f2, 75f1.8, 75f2

So the first thing I noticed was the massive amount of CA in the Rokinon shots and the lack of CA in the 75 shots. Also the exposure changed between them, but that's why these are quick and dirty

Finally, here are some 100% crops.
