    First attempt with Olympus E-PL1 attached to meade ETX-70AT telescope.

    Self timer 12s to allow telescope to settle
    iso 200
    1/1250 sec @ f5.0
    Spot metering

    Converted to Monochrome using GIMP

    Yes. Heavily! The image occupied only the central rectangle of the 3x3 grid in the viewfinder window. It almost exactly filled the circle of the spot metered area. It was a 'grab' shot. I stood the telescope on my picnic bench, everything was manual because the batteries for the drive motors were flat!
    I'll try harder next time. :smile:
