It was a reasonably clear night earlier on. So I decided to test my new G90 at 10M and 5M to see how it performs at those settings. I don't shy away from using them on occasions.
No noise reduction added, so that I can see how the G90 sensor performs at those reduced pixel rates.

First shot is at 10M.

I am actually quite pleased with the initial result, especially the detail.

I see you found serenity or at least something Selene to shoot!
As sharp as they could be.

That G9/G90 sensor does have a bit more bite to it compared to the other GX and G series cameras. Moon shots are arguably one of the best way to test sensor resolving power.

I'm surprised I didn't post this earlier. This is from the Sept. 27-8, 2015 lunar eclipse. E-M5.2 & P100-300(1), shot on a tripod from my driveway. 1.3 sec, f/6.3, iso 1600. This is a crop that started out at 3089 pix across before downsizing for the web. There's significant motion evident, especially in the stars. The thought occurred to me to see what Topaz Sharpen AI could do with this.

First, the original as edited in Photoshop, mainly to increase contrast in the sky for the purpose of suppressing noise and faint stars.

A run through the stabilize function of Topaz Sharpen AI tightens things up considerably. The stars are still not resolved into point sources and there are some ripple-like artifacts on the surface of the moon evident at 100%. But for web display, this seems pretty creditable to me.
