I am thinking of getting this lens in M39 form. Will it work properly on a GF1 with M39 adapter? Focusing to infinity not a problem I hope? Thanks.

    yes & no

no - with the m39 adapter only
yes - with an additional 16.4mm ring

With this combination you can focus to infinity and it produces very sharp and contrasty pictures. The ring was part of a russian macro tube set.

As I know the MIR-1 was only designed for SLR cameras (e.g. for Zenit).

...... or .... I already have a Nikon to M4/3 adapter. So I think if I get a M39 adapter for Nikon mount it should work cos the Nikon / M43 adapter is about that length. Yes?

This eBay seller offers m39 tubes

enter "m39 tubes" - but I recommend to verify first...

And I can't comment your Nikon approach... the flange focal distance must be correct - for a Zenith (m39×1 thread) it's 45.46mm
