For anyone thinking about it, the MD 85/2 is currently my favorite adapted lens. Very compact, but a great performer.

    On my old GF1:

    Size compared to MD 50/1.4:

Will these lens work on Sony SLT A99?

    Sent from LG Optimus Phablet.

Not directly. They are the older Minolta SR/MC/MD mount, not their AF mount, which became the Sony A mount.

There are adapters available, but they have an optical element, because the flange distance is too close to fit a straight adapter. As such, it actually has an even greater crop factor (Edit: forgot that the A99 is FF, so it doesn't have an initial crop factor, but the adapter adds one. It would probably vignette.)
