I havent taken many with my 50mm since for family outings and such I was using the 17mm or the 20mm, but here are a few recent shots. I used the MC version, if thats ok. I've been tempted to find an MD one for the smaller size though.

I'll be putting up some pics with my version of this lens soon. I have this and the MC Rokkor 55 f1.7. Thanks for the pics so far.

Couple of shots with the Minolta attached from yesterday. This lens is great, the DOF is extremely thin when open. I like the feel of the manual control (my first on m4/3). Used some minor adjustments in PP but mainly in exposure. The first shot was at 2.8 or the next half stop, the second one was shot at f/8, ISO 160, 6 second exposure (GX1)

Few more from my last few days with the Rokkor. Love this lens and the control it gives me. Not ideal for what I like to do most of the time, due to the MF. I get some missed focus shots when I thought I nailed it.

Some shots with the MC Rokkor-PG 50 1.4. Any questions/criticisms, please . . . still getting used to this manual focus "thing." They look sharp to me but what do I know.

I have read info from you guys for quite a bit of times.... ^ ^ Got a lot of info from here.

    Would like to share some of my photos taken with my E-M5 + MC rokkor-X PC 50mm 1.4 (1) @ 1.4, 2) @ 2, 3) @ 2.8, 4) @ 4, 5) @ 2, 6) @ 1.4, 7) @ 2.8, 8) 100% of 7)

This lens is a bit soft wide open, with f 2.0 and above ... it is very very sharp...

In my opinion, it is much sharper than SMC Takumar 50mm 1.4 ..

Bokeh at F1.4 is round... at 2.0 is a relatively round (compare to the exact hexagon looked by MD 50mm 1.4 @ f2.0)

    Technical Foul?
A consequence of Typhoon Utor causes a fisherman some problems. The "expert observers" watch on.

The aftermath of Utor - our views across the Pearl to Hong Kong, wonderfully clear for much of the summer, have been obscured by post-typhoon haze. Temp. is around 31 deg. C (88 F).

Nice photos from everyone above! I picked up one of these for $40 recently, and I'm loving it. Soft wide open (though not terrible), but man, it really sharpens up even one or two stops down!

    A few samples...

I've been shooting interchangeable lens mirrorless cameras ever since the Lumix G1 came out, and a 50mm prime has always been a mainstay of my lens collection. I've probably gone through 15 of them of various brands in f/1.7, f/1.8 and f/1.4 configurations. I'll buy one on eBay, do a comparative test, and sell the loser. So far, a Minolta f/1.4 has always been the winner, although all the Japanese lenses of that era are pretty close in performance. Sometimes my decision just comes down to character preferences rather than absolute technical goodness. My current 50mm is MC Rokkor-X f/1.4. Here are a couple samples from that lens, shot wide and at about f/5.6.
