My friend own this lens and I do not have a lot of time to test it. First impression is it is very small and light and very easy to handle.

I came within 2 minutes of winning one of these on a local auction site a few weeks back. Pissed me right off. :>

I think the m43 lens manufacturers should be looking closely at how popular this model is with the enthusiast crowd, an updated autofocusing cheap version could be a big hit imo.

I'd bet on Samyang for a first one, but manual focusing.
They are specialists of mirror lenses, and it's easier to make a good 200 to 300 f/5,6 one for µ format than for 35 mm.
Also, it would fit nicely their extremes approach, after the 7.5mm fisheye.

With an average price of US $850 in ebay I couldn't commit to get one myself. Anyway it's is a very good lens for still life unless you have lightning fast focusing technique. For that butterfly shot it took me quite a few try to get it.

The one I was looking at sat on NZ$12 for a week before finally going for NZ$190 (about US$150). :frown:
