milky way timelapse at king's canyon -ca

    GX8 + pana leica 15mm, ~640 frames, f1.7, 1600iso, 15s ss, no in camera NR. Took 30 dark frame for subtraction, ran it through dss, the calibrated frames didn't give me any improvement or whatsoever compare just raw from camera. Not sure how I can make the image more crisp in PP, or this is really just the limit of GX8.

    Nice work! Have you ever used LR Timelapse before? If you are a Lightroom user then LR Timelapse will let you easily take your raw frames into Lightroom to PP and "punch up" before generating the video.

    I never tried the paid version of the LR timelapse, i just scooped some plug in off the internet to combine the processed JPGs. Probably will take a deeper look at that the next time I got some better raws, just read some interesting article online about ISO setting in astrophotography that I may try to use 3200 next time to see if i can get rid of the those banding issue in the middle of the frame.
