Has anyone tried ProMaster's FL-100 TTL flash for Olympus and Panasonic? At ISO 100, it has a guide number of 30 meters at 50mm equivalent focal length--versus GN 28 at 50mm for the Olympus FL-36. Yet it weighs just 115g (+ 4 AAs), making it the lightest TTL flash, by far, that's as bright as the Olympus FL-36 (270g + 2 AAs), FL-36R, or FL-600 at that focal length. It's also about 18 percent smaller in volume than the FL-36.

The head doesn't tilt or swivel but can be zoomed between 28, 35, and 50mm (35mm equivalent). It's a pity it won't extend to 85mm equivalent; much of that power will be spread too wide when using a 45/1.8, 45/2.8, or 60/2.8 lens.

I rented one from a fellow pro for use in a small venue. It works fine for that application; however, the knurled nut that secures the connection to the hotshoe is the weak point. It cracked as I was tightening it. Very cheesy materials used.
