Microsoft ICE

    I just downloaded and played around with Microsoft ICE, a free panoramic stitching program available here: Microsoft Research Image Composite Editor (ICE).

    This program is pretty good, to say the least. I shot a panorama of our kitchen using a 15mm, 28mm and 40mm lens, and the results are excellent. With the 15mm, there was naturally a lot of distortion, but the correcting options really fixed things up nicely.

    I think I'm going to go panorama nuts for a while.

    Ray, I like the sound of your new brand of insanity - "panorama nuts"! Looking forward to it! Hmm, do we have a Panorama thread in the Genre forums...not yet, but perhaps in the future.

    yes .....yes........ is that as serious an ailment as HDR lunacy or fisheye madness....

    few people realize the mental minefield that photography is , i myself have recently caught black and white tourettes and and pop art filter fever , but im much better now .....
