I occasionally see this term and I find it baffling. To me, contrast is a ratio of two light intensity measurements and I see no reason that contrast would have anything to do with size. (Whatever it is that "micro" means in this context.) Is this just an OWT or can someone give me a physical explanation of why there would be something called "micro-contrast" that is any different than plain old contrast? Please spare me the "I can't explain but I know it when I see it." type responses. I don't believe in magical stereo speaker wires either. There is no magic. Only physics.
