Is there any image quality difference between :43: lenses and those made for 4/3 cameras? The cost of a new 100-300 is about the same as a used 75-300 plus DMW-MA1 adapter. I'm trying to decide which way to go.

Quality depends on the individual lens, moving to :43: doesn't' take much of a difference. The AF speed is slower using 4/3 lenses, but quality doesn't change. Size is the other consideration, :43: lenses will be smaller and lighter.

Thanks, I also have to consider the fact the 4/3 lenses don't seem to have OIS.

The Panasonic-Leica 4/3s lenses have OIS.

Nothing in m43 can compare with the SHG 43s lenses (not many lenses in ANY mount can)
