Since the sweet spot of most lenses is the center, wouldn't a medium format lens have a huge sweet spot for a m43 camera? I can get old Mamiya lenses for like $20. Is it worth the effort?

Overly sweet, junk food for your camera: will make it fat and soft. Not worth the adapter's price.
A good Zeiss lens for Hasselblad will give you very disappointing results. OK for 24x36 with a tilt-shift adapter, but just for these special uses. Plus any 2 1/4 in. lens shorter than 75mm will be even worse. Also, I've seldom seen a Mammamiya lens on par with a Zeiss... This putting it mildly.

You get already aplenty sweet spot with 24x36 lenses, and these should be carefully selected for results on par with native 4/3.
