I used to shoot a lot of weddings and events back in the Nikon DSLR years, and back then my most-used (but not necessarily favorite) lens was the 24-70 2.8. Last week, I documented a medical and dental mission, it brought me fond memories of the 24-70, but now clad with a 12-35 and GH3, at the risk of sounding redundant all over the forum, almost heaven-sent in terms of size and weight. Well, I could shoot all day with the 12-35 in these types of events. If there was another lens to pair it, of course, the 35-100 would have been the first choice.

We gave out free medical consultations, diagnostics, medicines, vitamins, dental extraction, milks, slippers, eyeglasses and more. The medical and dental mission was a fulfilling endeavor.

    Cheers!

    Great Shots

Great shots. I've been on several similar trips - Romania and Guyana back in my film days, then Ecuador with the D300. I'd like go get out again with my E-M5.
You never forget some of those faces.

I feel guilty swooning over shiny new lenses and photo gear that cost enough to provide food/cloths/treatment for many people in the pictures..

The look of concern by the children watching the dentist work is classic (3rd one)! I'd be the same way.
