UV-induced visible fluorescence i.e. shine a 365nm UV torch on the flower, and this will result in visible-light fluorescence of the flower which is all you see in the image (the UV light from the torch will be blocked by the internal cut filter of the camera). The UV torch was my real-life light sabre, creating the 'light sabres' in the image.

yes...I'm a girl and I like Star Wars. Took my 10 year old nephew to the exhibit last summer.
