I guess I am the first to post some pics of the eclipse.

The first pic was taken through a welders mask - eery effect!

These two images were taken with a Vivitar 135mm at f5.6 and 1/2000 of a second.

The sun was setting fast and so these didn't come out as well as I had wished. I took some others but these turned out the best.

    Taken using 20mm.
Used the wrong lens. Should have used the longer focal lenght.
Picture is cropped like hell. Hehehe!

Used an ND4 filter + some kodak negative film to lessen sun's intensity

looks like we have two threads going.
We had only a partial here in Colorado. I used 3 or 4 colored plastic filters to cut the sun's intensity.

    Eclipse party at Grandpas

Not really a party but we had fun and tritips!

I setup with a 350mm F4 finder scope and a 25mm eyepiece and projected the suns image into a cardboard box. I took photos of the eclipse in the box. Not the safest method but it does let everyone get a look without having them bump into the setup.

My youngest slapped on a pair of eclipse glasses and took a look while standing right in the path of my projected image ... I like it!

The actual eclipse photos ... pretty lame. This one is pretty close to the maximum. The light was very eerie at the time.

    Totality.JPG

I held up my solar filter and shot at the eclipse and got a blurry reflection of myself ... kind of cool.
