Hello everyone! Since this forum is also about sharing our mu-43 shooting experience I wanted to post some photos from my recent maternity session. After I did one photosession for the friend of mine her friends started asking me to do the same for them. They all agree to pay for the session even though I explaine them I am not a pro and don't use a huge black camera with "Canon" logo on it. This somewhat challenges me as it is a completely different experience when you do a paid job. So below you will see some samples from my very first maternity session. I never shot pregnant women before but the client was rather clear about what she wanted me "create". So I tried. Comments and critique are welcomed :).

Very nice shots, all of them. Well done. However if small portion of critics is allowed I'd like to add some.

I really liked the first set shot in studio environment. It was so clear and the object was really beautiful and natural. Remembering this was maternity set.

When the object was taken out to the nature, the background started to distract. And the make-up was too pop, maybe. At least for my taste. Still also photos taken in nature had very good samples, romantic, natural.

But as said, for me the first set shot inside was really the thing.

Thanks for sharing your work!

Thank you guys for your comments. All my keepers came from PL25 and OLY45. It does look like two different sessions indeed. The client wanted a studio session of "PREGNANT ME" and an outside walk of "ME PREGNANT" (not sure if that makes much sense :)). Anyway, that's what she wanted, and that's what I had to work with. There were other photos, some are much more sensitive and perhaps are not suited for the forum like this, but anyway, the client is happy and this means I am happy as well :) Still so much to learn though.

Congratulations!!
You've made a quality work. Very inspiring.
I think you have achieved what the client wanted.
The concept and the PP are well suited for the subject of the session.
Keep up the good work.

wonderful set.

As someone already said, i also prefer the first part, it just looks more personal (which this type of work should be IMO). The ones where it's clear that she's actually having fun are just amazing. The second session (especially the pics after the hat picture) have a great feel to them, mostly due to the subject(duh) and the PP. Care to explain what your usual PP workflow is?

Thank you for the comments! Composition wise and quality wise - mu43 is there. You can achieve a lot with it indeed. If only Oly 75 was more affordable

I guess there is nothing special. I am simply trying to abandan that digital look that Olympus (or any other DSLR) produces. I always do basic twicks with curves like rising the shadows and lowering the highlights (depending on the scene I do split curve corrections as well), do a bit of split toning (adding warmer colors into highlits and cooler into shadows) and play with general correction sliders. Recently I've been using some of Maxim's (Livingloud) presets as a start and then did corrections based on them. So, I am still searching, so to say :)
