Has anyone had any experience with these things? I see a few people suggesting them but can't see any good opinion of quality etc.

I've got a set of macro tubes which work well, but given that you lose all electrical connection to the lens, it means that unless whatever you're photographing is staying perfectly still, the element of luck required increases greatly. A bolt-on macro seems like a good solution for someone like myself who can't really afford to splash out on a standalone macro lense.

    The likely suspect(s) are here:
    DHG2¡ÃMARUMI Filter¡ÃMARUMI OPTICAL CO.,LTD.

    Any thoughts/suggestions?

I might look at getting one of their polarizers while I'm at it if their stuff is any good, the one I've got works ok and I have a lot of fun with it but it introduces more blur than I'd like.

That's pretty much the combo I'd end up using, looks pretty reasonable although that's a particularly disturbing looking critter. I may have to invest.

Edit: That video turned out well. Looks like the camera is a viable option for a wannabe Attenborough.

    Cheers.
