Looks like there have been a bunch folks dieing to play baseball. Is that really the name of that town Caimi?
That is the name. It consists of a beautiful stone church and school built in the 1850's. There is a large cemetery, part of which is pictured. There are a few nearby houses and fields of corn and beans. Oh, and a ballfield.
Great shot that depicts 2 contrasts to me..
- The tones of black & white
- Life on the baseball diamond & death in the cemetary
Field of dreams? Interesting juxtaposition.
Great caption contest shot!
A couple of quick possibilities:
* A dying game
* "The crowd fell silent..."
Anyone else care to play?
sent with my phone...please excuse the typos
Of course I liked mine the best ... "Dieing to play baseball" :smile:
Great shot, love the B&W
Yours inspired the idea.
More in that vein:
* Fans were dieing to see this game.
* A pall fell over the crowd.
* Ghost runner on first.
* Most loyal fans around.
I can't believe no one else wants to join in.
I like "a pall fell over the crowd".
