    Hi!

Last sunday I went to the premiere of the four season of Mad Men (a show about the advertising industry in the 60's) with a friend, who dressed up for the ocassion (there was a contest in the same event). I took my E-PL1 with me. After taking several pictures of her, I thought about the "art scenes". I almost never use them. I switched to the "grainy black and white". I think the results were very appropriate for the occasion.

I know "art filters" are considered cheesy, but I have to admit that I had a blast. I played overexposing and framing the shots in a casual way. It gave me a journalist-vintage look, perfect for my friends 60's look.

What do you think? I left more samples in my flickr account.

    Gus

Three and Four are may favourites. I especially like the way you have blown out some of the background in number 4 to capture the tones on her face.

Gus, I just checked out all of the photos of your MM Style shots and my two favorites didn't even make the cut here! They are MM5 and MM10 which I think are two of the best - naturally, since they're my favorites...and you know I have good taste!

I posted my comments on your Flickr pages. I think you should add them here in a nice large size so we can see them the way they should be seen. Hint, hint.

Hey nice job, love MM11. The grainy B&W really accentuates the whites and draws my eye to her lovely eyes and it brings the image to life.
