Macro shot with Olympus OM 50mm f/3.5

    I don't do much macro stuff but I had a passion flower I wanted to take a photo of. Just for fun, I tried out a couple more shots on a bowl of shells...

    Yes, I really should have dusted those shells. Generally my macro shots are fuzzy blurs but I am quite happy with this lot. I find the old Olympus OM 50mm f/3.5 a great little lens and I paid very little for it. My only comment is that I find the focal length a bit short when shooting out in the field.

    I rather like your Passion Flower shot and would be in full agreement over your comment about a 50mm macro being a bit on the short side for macro photography in the field. I do own a 55mm macro lens but my 105mm macro is used for 95%+ of my macro photography.
