Quick question - Is there any point setting the camera to macro mode with an adapted macro lens ?

Does it do anything useful to the in-camera settings in terms of optimising them for macro photography ?

If you believe my camera's manual, it adjusts colors to make flower photography look better. It also adds gridlines.

    Cheers shnitz.

I might do a with/without shot at some point and see if theres a noticeable difference.

I don't get grid-lines on my Oly in either "macro" or "nature macro" scene-mode.

The E-P3 manual states the macro mode is only for use with the macro attachment lens, as the fish eye is for the fish eye lens, etc...
