Olympus has there macro converter for $39 after rebate right now. I am really getting into flowers and such and this looks like a great way to get the shots. I will be using it on an epl-2 with the kit lens.

Any one use this and what are your thoughts?

    Thank you,

    Randy

I went ahead and ordered the macro converter for my epl-2. For $39, do not think I can find much wrong with it. I also ordered the Black Rapid Snap R20 camera bag. Will report on both once they arrive next week.

The converter will work on one of the Oly zooms as well - it's pretty handy. I love the fisheye converter.

I have just started looking at long zooms and would like to use the converter on it also. Any thoughts out there????

It's +1.75 diopters, you will be able to get your subject 22 1/2" from the front of the lens when it is focused to infinity. It is not an achromat, so the edges and corners will be soft. Enjoy.

I have used it on the 40-150. It lets you shoot pretty close. I also added the Macro flex light.

The MCON - P01 Macro Lens adaptor / convertor also fits the Olympus 14 -150 zoom in case anyone is wondering (I have used one on mine) Rob
