I've been tinkering with macro now and then. Came up with this. Not all my Ideas, but effective. Tooth pick with Maple Syrup is the Bait.

The front "Macro" attachment is the front of an old zoom lens, disassembled, with 2 elements still in it. I super glued a reversing ring in it with the 49mm male threads exposed for threading in the filter threads of main lens. This OM 35-70mm set at 70mm and infinity focus worked best of the lenses that I now have.
These images are JPEG OOC, except for some cropping and re-sizing for posting here. Pics of equipment taken with wife's Canon G10.

Wow! Cool! A little icky but cool. (don't like spiders and snakes etc.) Your setup seems to work really great.

And how nice of you to give the ants a gourmet maple syrup meal instead of plain white sugar!

These are very small ants. Maybe 3/16 inch.
