    Hello Tom,
what lens do you have in mind when you mentioned pocket-able?

the ep3 is a tad longer.

anyway, both the gx1 and ep3 are quite pocket-able when using the prime lenses,
    14mm/f2.4, 17mm/f2.8 and 20mm/f1.7; and the Lumix G X Vario PZ 14-42mm/
    f3.5-5.6.

the ep3 colors are very captivative and the gx1 user interface is fantastic (i shoot jpeg).
ergonomically, the gx1 is better but with the larger grip on the ep3, they are both
    good!

below are a couple of photos; gx1+14 and ep3+17 side by side

I've always wanted to try a GX1. I'm surprised by how much smaller it looks compared to the E-P3. The E-P3 is portable, but sometimes it does feel a bit bulgy.

My E-P2 is both longer and taller than my GX1. While the body is very similar in depth. The GX1 sits better in my hands thanks to the grip, though I believe the grip on the E-P3 is better than the E-P2.

As far as pocket-ability... You would want to have good size pockets for either. I think if the GX1 fitted in your pocket OK, the E-P3 shouldn't be too different.

I Don't use either much any more, I just hang on to them because I like them so much.

    Thank you Jim, and dnightingale.
I am still pretty much confused :)
I already own a fuji x-e1 and the micro 4/3 body would serve as more portable camera.
I see and I know that Gx1 is enough smaller and more pocket-able than e-p3.
But e-p3 is so much more beautiful!
    Eh eh… It's a difficult decision…

I also think the E-P2 or 3's are more beautiful, for want of a batter word. More nostalgic also. Although the GX1 is more ergonomic (comfortable) to hold, there is something much more substantial when holding the E-P2 or 3.

Sort of the same feeling I get when I use my X-Pro1. Sort of how the OM-D E-M5 is more comfortable and natural to hold than the X-Pro1, though holding and using the X-Pro1 is still preferred to me.

I'd probably go the E-P3 personally if the slightly lower high ISO noise and 4 MPixels don't concern you too much. If I had to give either the E-P2 or GX1 up, I'd sacrifice the GX1 first.
