I'm just learning how to use my new GX7. The camera has two features to assist preventing overexposure in the highlights:

    1. Histogram display
    2. Display white saturated areas in Auto Review (manual p 79)

I find the second feature more useful but the highlighting is only displayed after taking the photo.

Is there a way of displaying the white saturated areas whilst composing a photo? I have an Olympus C-5060W camera from 2003 which displays both over exposed and under exposed regions whilst composing.

No, I have it on my OMD-EM1, so it seems just an Olympus thing I'm afraid.
