As GH4 are shipping worldwide now I have got mine this morning. Let this thread be a place where to post samples of this new cam. Both stills and video are welcome!
My battery is charging and will post very soon.
Happy GH4 time and cheers!

Thanks for starting this thread orfeo; how are you liking it so far? I'm sure you already know how I feel. I'll be posting for more GH4 pics soon, but in the meantime, some SooC jpegs, most of which I posted on my GH4 review thread, at essentially default settings. All of the dog shots were with AF-C or AF-C+Tracking. I rarely post SooC images, but nevertheless:

Contrast detect continuous autofocus.... It works. It actually works. And quite arguably, more versatile than any other phase detect mirrorless system out there( I don't have enough C-AF experience with the E-M1 or the Nikon series). Still getting the most keepers with my GH4, over the X-T1 and A6000 (though keep in mind the different lenses involved, for example I only have a kit lens for the A6000 right now). The X-T1 might be slightly better with objects coming straight at you, but, being able to use live view during C-AF is not only useful, it's virtually essential for subjects that move erratically. It was impossible to follow my dogs with either the A6000 or X-T1 above the low FPS settings of 2-3fps, though the A6000 fared a bit better because at 11fps, it's almost like looking at video. But again, this is one of the most difficult C-AF tests you could do for any camera. The X-T1 might do better at something like tracking runners or cyclists moving towards you in a predictable manner that's easy for you to follow, but even then the GH4 still performs admirably.

After some tweaking (default settings could use a bit more sharpness and contrast, for my tastes), I think I might actually prefer Panasonic JPEGs to Olympus ones (at least those on my E-M5--I think the E-M1 does better with jpegs). That's something I never thougt I'd hear myself say! White balance has been among the best I've used too.

OK Napier those are some seriously impressive SOOC pics. The GH4 is turning out to be a serious top level cam.
Indeed! Honestly, I'm getting pretty upset at seeing all these "the stills are fine, but lets get to video!" reviews. This is an absolutely excellent stills camera, with many new advantages over competitors out there that shouldn't be overlooked. I'm trying to not jump to conclusions, particularly given that I obviously have the most experience with M4/3 and can work my way around its idiosyncrasies (although I've been an Olympus user for the past year and a half), but this likely one of the very best non-1DX/D4S cameras out there for professional and action work. From the JPEGs, to the white balance, to the C-AF, to the tracking, to the video, to the battery life, to the build, to the customization, to the controls, to the EVF, to the buffer, to the interface speed, it just all comes together very nicely. It probably isn't the very best at most of these; I prefer the X-T1s body, the E-M1's EVF, a DSLRs battery life, etc, but the sum is greater than the parts.

I'm only one opinion holder, but with a wedding, a Microsoft conference, a video, a surprise proposal, an engagement, and a 5k run to shoot all in the following two weeks, I easily feel the GH4 is the best singular body out there to handle all of these diverse situations. And certainly the only one that's in a small enough system for me to carry every day in a small camera bag with 3 lenses.

Still waiting for a RAW convertor! Anyone...???
I know Irridient handles it natively if you're on a Mac... But Adobe is being really slow, not even a beta release yet (normally on http://labs.adobe.com/). I hope that's because they're adding actual GH4 color profiles like they did for Olympus cameras, instead of the yucky generic default one.

Napier I love it so far. It really makes a pro body handling with bigger lens way more comfortable than smaller bodies especially with the grip.
I havent done serious shooting with it but I have a hunch its gonna be really fast efficient workflow. I can still use my Billingham Hadley even with the grip and 4/5 lenses. But the bag is too small for both gx7 and gh4 with lenses...
The burst is just impressive. The shutter shock is inexistent. The camera feels like a Nikon d4 but in a small lighter package.

Its true that its quite big with that grip but its way more compact than equivalent featured pro bodies DSLR...
More shooting to come and now a real pleasure to use all my lenses even the 25mm pl feels better on this. I really love it with legacy tele. It handles like a dream.

We are still waiting for raw support.... Cmon Adobe!

I now understand all the praise for the gh3 handling it is a dream. I am waiting for my nocticron and 15mm now!! And if oly release that tele zoom or even the 150mm Panasonic the gh4 will be the body to take them.

Oh WOW!!

Exactly as I predicted, reviewers are too tempted to see it as a GH3 with 4k video added. Overlooking the all-new stills camera that breaks down DSLM barriers. Thanks to you Napier, the truth is getting out! :2thumbs:

I normally dislikeSooC B&W images--tones tend to be super boring--but I really like these! Did you do anything other than simply set the camera to monochrome?

Thanks! It's the plain monochrome setting, everything stock except +1 sharpening and -5 noise reduction. Just tried to shoot when the sun wasn't too high and the light too flat, and tried to make sure not to blow out the highlights. Normally I'm with you, and prefer to process my black and white in ACR+PS, but I'm really enjoying the way the GH4 renders the B&W tones SOOC.

It looks as if the SooC BW JPG are slightly toned, I like the general look of it. Not that I particulary like jpeg from the cams usually but we are stuck with it for now (LR users) hehe!
