Panasonic GX1 First Impressions
"X" is such a sexy letter that's why....
lol that breakfast place is right near my school, Ryerson University.. i dont think id ever eat there though. it is just west of church and dundas on the south side if anyones interested.
I dont understand why Panny is giving us similar cameras with minor upgrades. They are just behaving like Apple . Few minor upgrades and thats all.I was hoping they will pull the tigger with weather sealed body and first weather sealed kit lens .. Anyway still looks nice though
There's not enough demand for that. And it's not cheap to do it. As much as I'd like to see a Pentax-like attack on weather sealing, at this point, I want to see bigger jumps in sensor improvement, the EVF, and an electronic shutter.
They are also seemingly putting out something every year. That is pretty fast paced I think, which means... incremental updates. I don't entirely mind it, other than the fact this really destroys resale value for the bodies.
Personally for me,
If I were to switch from Olympus to Panasonic, I'd get the GX1
Yeah, but you own a J1 and shoot film
I also own an E-PL1 and E-PL2
And that's supposed to help your case? LOL
I passed up on the E-P3 - I'm thinking the E-P5 will be the one for me :smile "4" is somewhat an unlucky so I'm told in Japan - that's why the E went from E-3 to E-5)
