Just wanted to post about my Lowepro Toploader Zoom 50. Bought it a month or two ago (online from Henry's) with the optional chest harness. I've taken it skiing a few times with the chest harness, and used it with a shoulder strap when touring around. I typically pack my E-P3, Pana/Leica 25mm, Oly 45mm, and Bower 7.5mm and it all fits pretty well. You get used to wearing it pretty quickly. It's very convenient and allows quick access to gear. Only criticism so far: the straps can't be tightened down as much as I'd prefer. Works okay with a coat on, but we'll see once it's warmer and fewer layers get worn. Also, you're never going to look cool with a chest bag, just sayin. Photos below were taken in Utah (with my camera, of course) {} "800" height="600" alt="Skiing"> {} "800" height="600" alt="Skiing">
Nice. One of the better ways of having an accessible camera during a rigorous sport. If you bicycle, it will also come in handy. It presents a decent level of balance while riding and the gear avoids the bounce and shock of bike mount. That chest-worn bag furnishes the ability to momentarily stop and shoot while straddling.
Cool. Can you give us any more pics of it loaded and open? Is it pretty 'trim' around the camera, or is there a lot of wiggle-room? I've been looking for a good holster solution for m43 since that's what I used to use with my SLR.
My thoughts exactly. A backpack is far more likely to be crushed if you bail and takes much longer to access I certainly do plan to try it while mountain biking!
