Depending on which m4/3 camera you are using, I have an Oly OM-D E-M5, this bag could fit it with additional 2 lenses on either sides. So I wouldn't call it small. It is however not weatherproof. I am using the Lowepro Nova 160 and it comes with a waterproof cover which you can pull it over the bag.

Thanks for the advice. I'm deciding between this and the LowePro Exchange, which is more versatile and cheaper, but with less padding. A difficult choice.

    And FYI, I've using a E-P2 + VF-2 with Pana 14-45, Super-Tak 50 1.4. Pretty compact kit, and all that I could afford for now :)

I use the Lowepro Exchange Messenger as a secondary bag, when I don't want to carry my larger and heavier Thinktank Retrospective 7. The Exchange is as light as a feather and roomy enough for my EM-5, an extra lens and a few personal items, while maintaining a trim profile that doesn't look like a camera bag. It's the perfect bag for street shooting, especially if I'm in crowded areas. If your kit is small, it's a good, inexpensive choice.

If you want to be able to carry around more gear and say, a tablet computer or a small laptop, the Event Messenger 150 might be a better choice. It looks to be about the same dimensions as my Retrospective 7, at a fraction of the cost.

I bought the LowePro Messenger 150 about a month ago. I like the bag. I can fit my OM-D, two lenses, a flash, an iPad, and some other small stuff in it. The link to the Ebay post for $34.95 is an unbeatable price. I believe the bag retails for approximately $59. I bought mine at a camera store for $49.

The 150 messenger is very lightweight - about half the weight of think tank 5. If it did not have that logo band on the cover and that lame handle I would buy it.

If those points don't bother you, I think it's a fantastic buy especially if you don't have to pay shipping.

Well, for people who use the LowePro Exchange, where can I get additional padding for it? I love that the bag is so light and versatile, but the lack of padding (especially at the bottom) is a bit concerning.

You can always 'simply' get some high density foam and add your own padding/ And/or have a friend with a sewing machine make custom padding for you (foam + fabric, it's not difficult).

Just bought a Lowepro Event Messenger 100 yesterday. I can easily fit the E-M5 (with Tamron 90mm attached to it) in it and pack a few lenses too.

My current setup is E-M5 + Tamron, Oly 45mm and Lumix G 14mm. Obviously the E-M5 flash and some other accessories fit inside the pockets nicely. I could easily change the Oly 45mm to a bigger lens too (like the Konica Hexanon 135mm if I wanted). It's a very versatile and surprisingly big bag for a medium(?) sized bag.

I'm looking for a smaller bag too because the EM100 is too big when I'm traveling light (E-M5 + 14/20mm)...

I'll be posting a bigger (15-20 pics) set of macros with this combo in a few days. Stay tuned...

EDIT: Hmmm, the facebook links/images have disappeared... A few doggie pics can be seen here: https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.350300485014430.85033.189981611046319&type=1 (from the 11th picture onwards).

EDIT2: I guess you can't find the post unless you have the "page limiter" set like mine so I added the post numbers...

If you're travelling that light, surely whatever bag you need for your other stuff plus a small bit of padding (neoprene pouch) should do the trick. If I'm wearing a big coat, my 'camera bag' for a prime setup is called my 'coat pocket' :)

Hmmm... A small bag (pouch) within a small bag. That could work...
I used to carry the E-PM1 in my pocket too sometimes but the E-M5 would be too uncomfortable.

This bag looks like it will work for me too. To those who own the bag, can you fit in 2 bodies, say, e-pl2 and e-p3 plus 14/2.5 and PL 25/1.4 attached to both plus some extras (2shirts and other small bits)?

    TIA
