After waffling between saving for an OM-D and getting a more inexpensive upgrade to my E-P1, I jumped on the recent GX1 deal. Got it last week, and I'm loving it! The speed, the responsiveness, the size, handling, are all fantastic. And just loaded the images onto my computer, and I'm quite pleased with the out of camera JPEG engine. Very happy camper here.

Here are some of my first shots from it.

Great shots! I was just like you. I was saving up for my OMD, but that sale last week for the GX1 changed things up a bit. I'm very happy with my new camera.

    Sale anywhere?

I want to buy this camera. Probably a month ago saw Amazon special on it for $359 but did not buy, now really regret. What was that special you guys talking about?

Congrats on your new camera! I love my GX1. I haven't touched my DSLRs since I bought it and the PL25.

nagual - it was on sale at Samy's Camera for $399 with the 14-42 kit lens. Also through Amazon (sold by Samy's). By buying it direct from Samy's, I also got a 16GB 30MB/s card and a little case logic bag. But, like stings said, there will be more deals since this camera will eventually get replaced with a GX2.

Thanks stingx! I go back and forth on diving in on the PL25 or sticking with my 20...what pushed you over? Or do you have both? One thing that holds me back is the size...

It's just a personal preference of that focal length. I like the 25mm for that and the IQ and the AF. Size isn't a concern. It isn't that big but the quality of the pictures is just amazing.

I stick with the 25 75% of the time and the kit and 17mm the rest.
