Hurricane Irene already knocked our power out. We expect to be a few days with no electricity

I won't be able to spend much time online to conserve iPhone battery.

    Wish us all luck!

    Cheers Alan

Hang in there Alan. We got through it pretty well, but we're in the middle of a town, so our power outages were very brief.

Already!!! I think you guys are down near the cost? We're more inland (west of Boston) just a LOT of wind and rain so far.

How'd the Philly crew do? (seems Ray did alright?)

There's a LOT of water and flooding in the low lying parts of the Philly area. The shore areas seemed to survive it pretty well. I'm sure a few of my favorite creeks are gonna be impassible for a couple of days. Saw some shots of some Philly neighborhoods along the rivers and they're flooded, but SO FAR it doesn't look much worse than the typical big storm. But the Schuylkill isn't supposed to crest until tonight sometime, so I don't think we know the whole story yet...

Fortunately the winds weren't as bad as feared once it got up here, so there's not a lot of wind damage - mostly just water.

Hope you're all fine, and secondarily; that your homes don't get destroyed.

This is one of this situation when those small annoyances in the world (like photo equipment) is just so unimportant.

Is it just me getting old, or do "those situations" happen more often these days...

    Oh Oh on the Power

    Hello Folks,

Hurricane was a breeze... bad pun fully intended.

However, there are about 8 -10 sections of power lines down on my street alone. We are being told we may not have power until the weekend...

Not too cool as most of us have wells, which means no water, even to flush the hopper.

It is times like this that I wish I lived in the heart of either Providence or Boston.

I'm at a client location where... viola, there is electricity and internet! Almost like living in modern times.

Cheers to all, I hope everyone on the East Coast came through with as little property damage as we did.
